1) Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of [The Recovery Room] website, accounts, memberships, credits, gift cards, and in-studio services (float therapy, infrared sauna/red light, cold plunge/contrast therapy, and guided meditation). By creating an account, booking, purchasing, or visiting, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2) Not medical advice; eligibility
The Recovery Room provides non-medical wellness services. We do not diagnose, treat, or cure disease and do not provide medical advice. Consult your physician regarding any medical concerns. Participation is voluntary and subject to contraindication screening and staff discretion for safety.
3) Booking & check-in (Amelia)
Online scheduling: We use Amelia to manage reservations. You’ll receive confirmations and reminders by email/SMS (with consent).
Arrivals: Please arrive 10 minutes before your session. Late arrivals may be shortened to avoid impacting the next client; full charges may still apply.
Attire & preparation: Follow pre-session instructions on cleanliness, hair and skin products, and hydration.
In-studio forms: All guests must sign our waiver, safety acknowledgment, and studio rules before the first session.
4) Cancellations, reschedules, and no-shows
Standard bookings: Cancel or reschedule 24 hours before start time to avoid fees.
No-show / late cancel: We may charge the full session fee or deduct one credit from a membership/package.
How to cancel: Use the booking portal (Amelia) or contact us during business hours.
5) Memberships, credits, and gift cards
Membership tiers: Your access (e.g., number of visits per 30-day cycle, float limits per month, 1 session/day maximum) is defined on the membership’s product page at purchase. Limits are enforced through our booking system.
Billing period & renewal: Memberships auto-renew monthly on the purchase/anchor date until canceled. Cancel at least 3 business days before renewal to avoid the next charge.
Freezes: You may request 1 freeze per 12 months for up to 30 days (at our discretion).
Credits & packages: Session credits are tied to your account and non-transferable unless stated otherwise. Unless a longer period is stated at purchase, credits expire 12 months from purchase.
Price changes: We may change pricing on renewal with advance notice; you may cancel before the change takes effect.
Gift cards: Treated as cash equivalents; no expiration earlier than 5 years and no inactivity fees, per applicable law.
Promotions: Discounts and offers cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.
6) Payments, taxes, and refunds
Payments: Processed securely by our third-party processor (e.g., Stripe/Square/PayPal). We don’t store full card data.
Refunds: Except where required by law, all sales are final. We may, at our discretion, credit your account for future use if a session is interrupted due to equipment failure or operational issues.
Chargebacks: Please contact us first to resolve any billing issues.
7) Studio rules & safety
To keep everyone safe and comfortable, you agree to:
Follow staff directions and posted safety rules for float tanks, infrared sauna/red light, and cold plunge/contrast therapy.
Avoid sessions if you have open wounds, contagious conditions, unmanaged high/low blood pressure, significant sunburn, uncontrolled epilepsy, are under the influence of drugs/alcohol, or otherwise contraindicated.
Notify staff if pregnant or if you have cardiovascular conditions, recent surgery, implanted devices, or other concerns.
Keep water/salt out of eyes/ears/mouth; shower before/after floats; use ear protection if provided.
Respect property; you’re responsible for damage caused by misuse or policy violations.
Clean-up fee: We may charge a fee for excessive cleaning (e.g., dye run-off, heavy oils, or contamination).
8) Minors
Under 18: Require parent/guardian consent; age-based restrictions may apply. We reserve the right to require a guardian to remain on premises.
Under 13: Not eligible for certain services; contact us for details.
9) SMS & email communications
With your consent, we send reminders and updates via SMS/email. Messaging/data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS at any time; use unsubscribe links for email.
10) Intellectual property
Site content, logos, graphics, and copy are owned by The Recovery Room or used under license. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute without permission.
11) Assumption of risk; release; limitation of liability
You understand and accept the inherent risks of wellness modalities (heat/cold exposure, slips in wet areas, saltwater irritation, transient lightheadedness). To the fullest extent permitted by Tennessee law, you agree to assume these risks and release The Recovery Room, its owners, employees, and contractors from claims arising from your participation, except for our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Our total liability to you is limited to the amounts you paid for the session(s) giving rise to the claim.
12) Privacy & security
Your use of our site and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy (incorporated here by reference), including Tennessee breach-notice timelines and, where applicable, consumer privacy rights.
13) Disputes, arbitration, and venue
Before filing a claim, contact us to try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration on an individual basis under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. No class actions. The governing law is the laws of the State of Tennessee, and the exclusive venue for any court proceedings (e.g., to compel arbitration or enforce an award) is state or federal courts located in Putnam County, Tennessee.
14) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. We’ll revise the “Last updated” date and, where required, provide notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
